Hello from New Mexico. Upon graduating I took a teaching position at Tse Bit Ai Middle School on the Navajo reservation in Shiprock. I am currently teaching woodworking and technology to 7th and 8th graders, as well as coaching wrestling and track. Our school has been in trouble since I got here because we have yet to make AYP. As a result, teaching has been quite different than I expected or experienced in Utah. The pay and my family are what have kept me here this long, but I am currently preparing for the GMAT and GRE in hopes of pursuing a graduate degree in the next year or two.
Andrea and I have 5 little girls that keep us very busy.

Currently I am back in Provo at BYU - working with our beloved Shum. Upon graduation I started my MA here at BYU - however, after going to the UofU Career Fair with Paul Hunt, and learning of a possible job opening teaching computers and coaching volleyball, Utah was soon replaced with the fun and sunshine of southern California. Both Paul Hunt and I signed at the same time - and ended up teaching and coaching together in the CVUSD. We really had a blast there. Despite loving our time there, after completing my MA in Administrator, and becoming California certified as a teacher and administrator, my wife and I decided that I needed to continue on with school. So I applied to various Ph.D. programs, as luck would have it we were to move back to Provo. While working as a fulltime doctoral student, I taught part-time in the Alpine School District. I went through the administrative Utah certification process (not all of my California hours transferred :( ) and was ready to go into administration. However, while working on some research for my Ph.D. I kept in touch with Berrett and Shum. Berrett pulled me aside a few times and hinted that I should go into higher ed (explaining to me his perception of the pros and cons, etc.) Although I had planned on going into high ed. later in life (I thought it would be fun to first work as a principal for a few years), I started entertaining various job offers from several Universities. Of course, when Berrett decided to leave BYU and suggested I apply for his position (after much discussion with the better half) I decided to apply. Again, feeling mighty blessed, I now find myself teaching with the almighty Shum/ working in the TEE (Technology Engineering Education) department (formally TTE). It’s a wonderful blessing to be back here at BYU. Life is good for our little family. We have two children, Isaac (2; recently potty trained) and Lucy (4 months and no where near potty trained). For those of you who remember Leah, she is still working as a graphic designer despite full time motherhood. Here’s a link to our family blog.

Hello from Orem...Well After graduating I got married and worked full time at Timberline Woodworker Supply in Orem, while my husband finished his undergrad at BYU. He then decided he wanted to get a masters and we moved to Norwich England so he could study at University of East Anglia(UEA). We had a blast. I worked while we were there. The program was only a year unfortunately! I got pregnant while there and to our shock it was going to be twins!! We moved back to Orem when I was six months pregnant. Had to be on bed rest for 1 month (absolutely horrid!)and delivered at 36 weeks. The boys were in the NICU for almost three weeks, they will be two in DEC.I happily stay at home with them, going crazy
