TTE Alumni Social | April 3 & 4

Let the Fun Begin! We are having our first annual TTE Alumni Social!!!!
The Alumni Social will take place the first Thursday & Friday of April. This is the same weekend of General Conference - so pack your bags and head to Utah.

The tentative schedule:
11:00 AM Thursday, 4.3.2008 @ B66:
Seminar Topic: Where are you now & What are you doing with your degree?

Remember those awesome Thursday Seminars? Lets show them what we can do! Come and be a guest in B66 behind the Snell Building. We, the TTE Alumni, will present to current students and answer the life question they are asking, "What can you do with a TTE Degree?" So prepare to present what you are doing in life utilizing your degree. After seminar there will be guided tours by Shum to see our old "Stompin Ground". Those who would like to eat and socialize can follow the crowd to the WILC. (This is event is only for Alumni, please do not bring children)

Come one come ALL!! Bring your family and lets Eat, Socialize, and Party! Anybody up for a DDR Competition?! Volleyball?! Fun?! TTE Alumni Social

Let's Get Together. ya. ya. ya. We can do the TTE Alumni retreat either General Conference Weekend (Fri, April 4) or Finals Weekend (Sat, April 19). Please vote on the day that works best for you. When we get closer we will make a final decision.

We will begin the Alumni Social with a "Seminar". This will include brief success stories presented by us - the Alumni. Here is where you can give an update of who you are & what you are doing. The keynote speaker is Dr. Steve Shumway.

Then we will have fun for all the family with BBQ food & socializing at the park.

I am open for any ideas!! If you would like to present at the Seminar, let me know.
If you can help in any other way, let me know.

Dear Students, Shum here. I bet you thought I couldn't figure out how to work this web-site.
Life is still good here in the Snell Building. A few things have changed so let me tell you about them. First of all, after much consideration, Dr. Berrett decided to move with his family to Blanding, Utah and teach high school. The community is real privileged to have someone with his abilities. I miss him but respect his desires to be with his family more.
To fill this vacancy we were very fortunate to be able to hire Geoff Wright to teach the multimedia classes. Geoff is doing a great job and we are having fun with our TTE family here in the Snell.
Speaking of family, I have hopefully included a picture of mine here somewhere. My children are all involved in athletics and other extra-curricular activities. My wife Joyce stays very busy with her exercise program, cub scouts and helping in our children's classrooms at school.
I am still the Bishop of our family ward in American Fork which keeps me busy but I enjoy the service opportunities. Last year I was able to obtain tenure and I am involved with several projects including a National Science Foundation center for teaching and learning and a curriculum and teacher development project in the African nation of Ghana. As such I travel more than i want but I enjoy interacting with teachers from other parts of the world.
Well, I better get back to work. I miss all of you and hope this is a way we can stay connected. If you are looking for employment or have a position at your school let me know and I'll see if I can help. I miss all of you!!! When i hear from you it brings a smile to my face.
